Transfering Garageband Projects from Computer to iPad
Once the student Garageband projects .zip archive have been downloaded and unpacked, to transfer Garageband projects from computer to iPad and back, I use an app called iMazing (available for Mac OS and Windows, has free 14-day trial and is $35 Cdn for single user license):
To transfer files between a computer (Mac OS or Windows) and iOS device (iPad/iPhone) simply launch iMazing and connect the iOS device to the computer via USB (once the device is connected you can optionally connect the device wirelessly via Wi-Fi by checking ‘Enable Wi-Fi Connection’).
Next, select the Apps directory, then select the Garageband sub-directory, and simply drag and drop the Garageband project files from the computer to the iOS device:
